The ICPC Executive Committee (EC) convened for its annual October meeting on Valentia Island, Ireland, at the historic Valentia Island Transatlantic Cable Station.
On Friday 3 May 2024, the ICPC and CIL organised a one-day closed-door workshop to discuss contemporary law and policy issues relating to the laying, repair and protection of submarine telecommunication cables.
The ICPC held the 2024 Plenary in Singapore with the theme of 'Ensuring a Connected Future.' The last plenary held in Singapore back in 2011 hosted about 90 attendees, while this year's plenary hosted over 200 attendees.
The 2023 ICPC Plenary took place in Madrid, Spain. ICPC Members, guest observers, invited speakers, and exhibitors from around the world gathered under one roof for three days to listen, learn, and discuss from a diverse set of topics about the vital importance of submarine power and fibre optic cables and their protection worldwide.
Due to COVID-19, the 2022 Plenary format was a two-day online event comprised of live panel discussions, roundtables, and interviews accommodating the global audience for its Members.
